ENTRY Formalities in ST BARTH
For all visitors, formalities in St Barts require a valid passport. And, depending on the country of origin, a French visa valid for France except CTOM or DFA (French departments of America) with the mention COLLECTIVITE TERRITORIALE DE SAINT BARTHELEMY ET SAINT MARTIN must be issued by the French Embassy before departure.
For American and Canadian citizens, you must have a valid passport, obligatorily accompanied by a return or continuation of travel ticket, it is not necessary to have a visa if the stay is shorter or equal to 90 days. On the other hand, the passport must imperatively have a period of validity greater than 6 months at the time of entry into our territory.
British citizens can visit St Barth without a visa for tourism or business stays of up to 90 days. For stays longer than 90 days, a long-stay visa is required and must be requested from the French consulate in the United Kingdom with proof of financial resources and health insurance.

Cruise ships: All passengers can get ashore
For foreigners requiring a visa, the carrier sends by email, the passport scan
In all other cases:
Residence permit valid in France or in the Schengen area (including Switzerland);
– Visa France except CTOM: YES
– DFA Visa: YES
General framework because there are specific cases which require a more detailed analysis of the regulations in progress.
Normal shengen visa: NO because Saint-Barthélémy is not part of the SHENGEN area.

Entry form required for transiting travellers through St Maarten
All travelers transferring through St. Maarten and St. Martin (French side) are required to fill out this form. Each traveler in a group or family are required to complete this form. The registration is quick and easy online process! You can fill out your travel entry form here.
To complete the entry form, travelers will need the following documents and information on hand :
- Valid Travel Document ( Passport, ID Card)
- Contact Information
- Accomodation and flight information
- Recent Employement Information ( if applicable)
The Entry form must be complete in advance, before the flight and available before the check-in.
